Blanca del Rey was born in Cordoba, the land of Caliphs, of Seneca, of Gypsies, of Manolete and of Julio Romero, who, as she says, have all influenced her art. Critics are unanimous in declaring that in flamenco, Blanca is one of the most creative dancers, who has developed new forms while remaining faithful to the ancient roots of the Andalusian dance. For her, flamenco is more than just a dance, it's a form of being, of acting, of feeling and even of living.
