Born in Israel, and with Yemeni parents, Noa (Achinoam Nini) leaves for New York in a very young age and she grows up in the Bronx. When she was 17 years old, she decided to find her roots by returning to Israel, and that’s where she discovered and explored her talent for singing and for the music. She studied at Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Tel Aviv, where she met Gil Dor. In 1990, he invites her to sing with him. Their first disks were a great success in Israel, and the following ones caused an enthusiastic sensation in the Western world.
